About the Teacher

I am a native Californian who was born in Los Angeles, California and   at the age of 4 moved  with my family to Monterey and began my first  piano lessons with my mother.  I graduated the local high school where I  served as the high school choir accompanist and a church pianist at a  local church.  I received a music scholarship to our local community  college and after a year, moved to Los Angeles to continue my  piano  studies with the well know pianist, Jacob Gimpel.  I went on to live in  Austin, Texas and graduated with a master of music from the University  of Texas at Austin.   While a graduate student, I was awarded the Kent  Kennon Scholarship and served on the music faculty as a teaching assistant.  I am married with two children. I have offered  piano lessons in Austin since 1983.  I also offer piano lessons for kids  as well as adult piano lessons.  I also perform on request at parities,  weddings, retirement homes and special occasions.
